I'm currently running Ubuntu 11.10 on my deskop and switched from Unity to Gnome 3.2 as the desktop environment. My ATI Radeon HD 4850 in combination with the older proprietary fglrx-driver from the repository caused the well-known issues with the top-panel in the beginning.
The manual installation of the driver (building DEBs) fixed it only in parts. I still have glitches with every sliding/zoom animation like entering or leaving the activity overview or hovering over the icons on the bottom bar.
It is usable, but very distracting.
Does anybody have a fix for that or the same problem?
ATI/AMD Version: 11-11-x86.x86_64 or 11-12-x86.x86_64
Gnome: 3.2
